One is not better at their craft, but we always hear “niche down” on YouTube and this is why, now the algorithm will know who to serve your content up to. But her audience stayed small after years because YouTube didn’t know what to do with her.Ĭontrast that to PremiereGal who is ONLY talking about Adobe Premiere on her channel and she’s blown up. Then he showed why one channel, a woman who expertly evaluated tech (Word, FCPX, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, PowerPoint, etc) was speaking to too many audiences and acting as an expert on too many topics. He evaluated actual attendees’ YouTube channels (that he’d asked for volunteers for in advance).
In 2019 I heard Tom Martin speak at VidSummit and he blew us all away. Over the years our (AMAZING) team of developers have added feature after feature to bring it up to the standards of industry-leaders, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, and more, while still maintaining all of the easy-to-use features it has had.

In fact, my FIRST experience with Camtasia before working for TechSmith was recording my Premiere Pro screen to teach students how to edit videos!
It started out primarily focused on screen recording. I've been waiting for this feature about as long as I've worked at TechSmith.Ĭamtasia didn't start it's life as a standard, non-linear video editor (NLE).
